She graduated from the Fergus Falls Senior High in 2008, and completed her Associate of Arts degree at M State in Fergus Falls in 2013. Hello!! My name is Katrina. I have spent most of my life in and around the Fergus Falls area. I graduated from Fergus Falls High School and grew up playing Hockey. I was a bit of a band geek playing trombone in every band possible (Wind Ensemble, pep, marching, jazz etc.). I also grew up just down the road at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. I spent many youth years being an active member and was lucky enough to attend two National Youth Gatherings. After high school, I immediately continued my education at M State in Fergus Falls and received my Practical Nursing Diploma. I married my high school sweetheart Travis Johnson a year later. Together we are raising two active boys Zachary and Griffin. They are 5 and 6 years old and are active with soccer and hockey.
I wear many hats in life right now and love each one. I have been a LPN for over ten years. I have always loved helping and supporting people. I feel very privileged being able to be a support for people in some of their most vulnerable times. Some of you may already know, nursing can also be very demanding and wearing on a person. With my passion for people in mind, I went back to school and obtained my Real Estate license. I feel I am able to continue helping and supporting others, but I get to experience more of the happy moments in their lives. I have also been very lucky to have Leslie Flugstad as my mentor at Century 21 and now as your new bookkeeper!! I still “play” nurse from time to time and will continue in real estate and as I serve here. I’m so excited to get to know all of you and be a part of First Lutheran Church.

Steve Hosch has been working at First Lutheran for over 20 years. He was born in Ashland, Ohio and has lived in many different places before settling in just outside of Fergus Falls. He was married in 1984 to Cheri, and they had three children. He graduated from Coopers High School in Robbinsdale, MN. Steve and two of his daughters live together with his dog, Hans, a German Shepherd. We are very blessed to have such a hard-working Janitor here at First Lutheran. He oversees all of the cleaning and building maintenance, and has great skill in making our building last through the years.

Linda Mellon has been a member of First Lutheran Church since she was in fifth grade. Linda has been involved in music ministry since 1984. She was asked to direct one of the children’s choirs temporarily and it stuck. She says, “thirty-one years later, here I am!” In 1987, the church was gifted with a three octave set of Malmark handbells. Linda then began directing the handbell choir. The bell choir has since added two more octaves of bells and five octaves of choirchimes. Linda is married to Bud (they were married at First Lutheran in 1977) and they have two daughters, Sarah and Erica, who were both baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran. Linda and Bud have five grandchildren who love to visit grandma and watch her while she directs the Bell Choir! Linda and Bud live on Ottertail lake.
